The Student Experience Group main aim is to promote student experience initiatives that are recognized by the students as being successful.
In order to achieve this articles are regularly posted on the website, each looking at student experience initiatives that have proven to be successful. These articles are typically written in conjunction with institutions/departments and all aim at promoting success.
All articles are promoted, targeting prospective and current students as well as those interested in higher education. The intention of this being to make students, staff and interested readers aware of the efforts institutions and departments are making, to improve their student experience. For every prospective and current student this message gets through to, it can only help to improve engagement with the department/institution.
The website also provides the opportunity for those interested in these initiatives to carry on discussions and ask questions using the comment fields at the bottom of each article. I will always reply to any question left here and as the group grows, I envisage this becoming a very useful resource for discussing and forming new ideas and initiatives as well as furthering understanding.
These articles and continued discussions also provide a unique resource of successful student experience initiatives and ideas, that can help those who are interested in improving their institution’s/department’s student experience. All Twitter and Facebook followers will be informed of any new articles posted on the website and a monthly newsletter will be sent to those that sign up.
